Had Swiss Cheeseburgers on Rye. I doctored mine up with raw onions, cooked onions, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and mayo! I also made some crinkle cut fries. Jon also wanted Diet Root Beer.

Then we went to the fair and J had a caramel apple, two ears of corn, soda and a creme puff. I got some cotton candy and a small creme puff. Have not had that stuff for ages.

We ate at Denny's Restaurant.  Don had the Double cheeseburger with all the fixings, except pickles, and french fries.  I had the Flamin 5 Pepper Burger with onion rings and we each had a soda (OMG!! $3.59 each for 1 glass)

Made Jon and I ham, cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce and onion sandwiches for lunch. J ate cookies and made ham and cheese sandwich of his own. For dinner I am planning on making Sloppy Joes, Tater tots, potato salad and have creme horns for dessert.

J did not want to eat but I caught him with half a dozen oatmeal raisin cookies and coffee and then he had toast. Jon had pizza and I had a ham and cheese with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion.

I do not know if they will want to eat when they get home from classes.

J does not want to eat until later. Jon had a salad and leftover meatloaf. I am not sure what I shall have for dinner. Had a protein shake for lunch. Last night with dinner I cut up tomatoes, a cucumber and onion and mixed it with some Honey Mustard Dressing for a salad. It was really good.

Worked 12 hours and did not feel like making anything.  Tossed 2 chicken thighs and 2 leg quarters into crock post with potatoes and onions.  May not be done by time I have to go to go to bed before work, so we shall see what I decide

For breakfast it was eggs, toast, hash browns with onions and bacon.

For dinner we are supposed to have grilled chicken breasts with melted Provolone Cheese and linguine.

Getting to be slim pickings here and of course Don has his boom box on my freezer, so I pulled a pack of 2 pork steaks out of the fridge freezer.  Making mashed potatoes (from real potatoes) and creamed corn (Don's favorite to top his mashed potatoes with).  It will be nice to get full checks again but the scrimping isn't bad because there is no way we will ever not have "something" to eat, just not what Don wants.  He can get over it.

Sounds like J wanted to make what I call a "Heart Attack Snack"  I guess that equals a sweet and salty snack YUCKO

Had a sandwich on Brownberry 22 grain bread with butter, peanut butter, and bananas before I laid down.

Storm woke me up, so I had a leftover hotdog and bratwurst

J got Long Johns with maple frosting and made bacon and rolled them in the bacon. OMG I cannot even imagine.

For lunch it was ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo, lettuce, onion, and tomato with chips.

For dinner I am looking a a bacon wrapped meatloaf with some sort of veggie and maybe Tater Tots. I guess Long Johns for dessert.

Another nasty hot and humid day.  Threw potatoes, celery, baby carrots, onions, and zucchini in crock pot and topped with chicken leg quarters.  It was to hot to eat something hot, so I made 2 sandwiches on Brownberry 22 grain bread with butter, Braun Schweiger, chopped onions and American cheese.  Don said he would make a chicken sandwich later.  Doesn't look like it.

Yesterday was so humid and muggy that I decided to make brats and hotdogs in the slow cooker and poured in some leftover beer from the day before.

Last few days I have made leftovers, thick cut pork chops with cut up fresh veggies and tossed in slow cooker, black bean veggie patties with salsa and shredded cheddar, and more left overs
