Stopped for donuts on the way this morning.

For dinner I got some marbled rye and toasted it with burgers and Swiss and on mine I put lettuce, raw onions, fried onions, tomatoes, mayo and ketchup. J put cheese and ketchup and green olives(!). Also made some fries and onion rings. Creme horns for dessert.

I suggested I make manwich and Idahoan Instant mash potatoes.  Don liked the idea so we ran to town.  He is suppose to be on a liquid diet but my thought is if he does not have to chew it, it is ok.  He needs to eat.  He really is not drinking as much as he should be.  I ate the hamburger this morning for breakfast.  I guess he had some squash and tomato soup last night but does not look like he had much.  But something is better than nothing.  I will take the small win.  I did not eat much because I really don't like manwich and would rather he have food options to eat.

Sorry Dawn.

Jon is doing a bit better with the braces today but the last couple days has only eaten one meal.

This morning for breakfast J and I had eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns with onions but I had one of each and he had 2-3.

For dinner I made the German Salt Potatoes with onions and pancetta, gravy, peas and J breaded some pork cutlets. I made a small batch of chocolate chip cookies and they are already gone.

I ate some of the Banquet Entree and still hungry so had some cottage cheese with chopped bacon that I had in the freezer.  Don finished his protein drink and now having a rootbeer,  I keep asking if he wants me to blend up the rest of the Banquet Entree but his is not giving me an answer.  He did look at it and It looked like he was rying to figure out how to snitch a bit to see if he liked it.  This is going to be quite an adventure.

I feel like I am starving!  I am just nibbling on things.  I did put a Banquet Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo entree in oven.  Sucks with no leftovers.  I did pull some out of fridge freezer that I will be eating when they thaw out.  Looks like the burger might be next.  Don has a few options in fridge to eat when he is ready.  He is still working on the Smoothie I made yesterday.  I am going to start making smaller batches.

Snacking on pretzels.  Had a chicken that I found in the freezer earlier.  Did not get out to get that sandwich at Kwik Trip.  Don is up and down and back and forth between bed and recliner.

Today I had Pa-Lo Duck Asian noodles, Beef Summer sausage with real mayo and provolone cheese on organic 100% whole grain bread, a bowl of corn flakes, and a mug of tomato soup. Don had some Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Tomato Soup, some strawberry protein drink, and butternut squash.

Since Don can't eat alot of stuff, I will be able to eat what I want.  I have already had rice, just finished a sandwich on Brownberry 100% Organic Whole Grain Bread.  I put thin sliced honey ham, provolone cheese, and REAL Mayo.  Don will not eat the Rice, bread, or mayo.

We had burgers and fries for lunch and for dinner we had J's holiday party. We had chicken and beef tips and gravy with mashed potatoes and corn and rolls. Not very good. But they also had cole slaw and pasta salad with veggies and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. That was good. I actually had a drink lol

I am making some Neilly's Kimchi Fried Rice.  Also having some Salt & Vinegar Potato chips 2 slices of venison Sausage, and will see what else I can find.  Don is home and in bed.  I feel uncomfortable eating food since he is on a Full Clear Liquid Diet.  I don't know why it is called that because alot of the options that were on the hospital menu could not be sucked up thru a straw and I don't think pureed oatmeal, cream of wheat, or cream of rice is clear, nor is Coke/diet coke etc.

Just got up. Lots to do before I go to hospital today, so I ate the last piece of breakfast pizza before I start doing things around the house

I made Jon homemade mac and cheese. He wanted elbow macaroni with sharp cheddar cheese. Not my thing but Jon loved it. Warmed up J the rest of the breaded cube steaks and garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. I had some of the egg fried rice and added some fresh veggies to it. The rest of the cookies for dessert.

Yesterday at the hospital all I ate was 3/4 bag of red twizzlers and a bottle of blue Powerade

When I got home from the hospital today, I heated up the last cheeseburger and ate the rest of the stuffing.

After my nap, I drank the last king can of Hamms and now drinking my 2nd home made wine cooler

I ate the rest of the egg salad while Don was in the shower.  I have been eating red twizzlers off and on and just opened my powerade.   I have been trying to sleep but that is not happening.  I would love to go to my car and take a nap but don't think the pager will work that far away.

As soon as Don got up this morning I kept asking what he wanted to eat.  He is suppose to eat a light supper and low fat before surgery.  We still don't know what time that is.  He finally said he wanted a whole stuffed roasted chicken with home made mashed potatoes'. Still not done.  Hand out said to stop drinking alcohol by 8pm.  Nurse said 24 hours before surgery. I have to stay up until food is made.  I will either eat leftovers or nothing.  I have to work tonite yet.

For breakfast we had eggs, toast, hash browns with onions and bacon. Of course I had one of everything and J had three.

We were going to have a big dinner but ended up have sandwiches for lunch and when we finally got home I made the guys chicken patty sandwiches with fries and I warmed up a burger with my fries and doctored it the way I always do with lettuce, tomato, onions, ketchup and mayo. For dessert I frosted some of the mini chocolate chip cookies.

Don wants Hamburgers and home made fries. That is what I will make him. I on the other hand will probably eat leftovers. That way he will have stuff I know he will eat, later if he wants.

Don did not touch the Shepard's Pie.  No idea what he decided to eat.  We did have chocolate chip cookies which he as been eating occasionally even if it is only half a cookie.  He breaks it in half and eats one and puts the other back in the jar.
