Whats for Dinner today? 2019

Yesterday I made Turkey with stuffing, butternut squash, mash potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls, and ice cream Don threw a fit and I made him a plate later in afternoon and he got pissy and put it on the floor for the cats ~ I understand he is really upset with the loss of TopHat and deciding to  find a day to put Otis to sleep but this is no excuse to be acting out of control

Good Lord, Dawn. You should have hit him over the head with the frying pan.

I ended up making O'Brien Potatoes and Leftover Pork Roast Sliced with Gravy and a side of Corn. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce warmed up for dessert.

Don told me to dress nice and we were going out for juicy burgers ~ We ended up driving around and stopped at a couple of bars, walked out of McDonalds in Jefferson because everything is automated, went to Belmont and had a large order of french fries and a couple beers.  Then Pick and Save and didn't find anything and ended up coming to whitewater walmart, bought 1/2 lb burger patties and I went to bed because of butt head

Grilled Steaks, Rice, Steamed Veggies (Cabbage, Cauliflower, Onions) and Salads. Chocolate Pie for dessert with Whipped Cream.

I made breaded Ranch thin boneless pork chops and baked potatoes but nobody ate

Beef and Cheese Quesadillas, Spanish Rice, Refried Beans and Cut Up Lettuce, Tomatoes and Onions Topped with Cheese and Sour Cream and a side of Guacamole. Got some pre-made strawberry margarita mix. I didn't realize until we were done it was National Margarita Day! I had not had one in ages.

Another non stop day ~ I had to take padre to Walmart and since there would be no time for me to make something for Don to eat before his ride came, I picked up a huge sub from the deli department.  Don had a little before he left and and I had a little bit, then he came home and had the rest of it.  I took home made beef soup to work

I made J Pork Sandwiches with Barbecue Sauce. I have not had dinner. It has just been too crazy. I will admit I am hungry and not feeling well.

Yesterday I made breaded Ranch Style chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables

Got some French Bread and made sub sandwiches. Too hot to cook. Had ham, turkey, cheese, lettuce, fresh tomatoes, onions and mayo. Simple but good. Also found a place with Utz Chips! Chocolate Chip Cookies with Ice Cream on Top with a bit of chocolate syrup for dessert.

Leftover Pork Roast, Peas and American Fries with a side of Gravy.

Yesterday was hectic on wheels ~ leftovers and Don made smoke polish sausage

Today more hades on the run ~ Beef Ring Bologna, Smoked cheddar links, and home made fries

Steak and Ale Pie for J and Leftover Meat roll and onion rings for me. Jon ate earlier. Giant sugar cookies for dessert.

yesterday for breakfast I made fried potatoes, bacon, fried eggs, and toast

For lunch I made Ham with brown sugar and pineapples, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, corn casserole, and french
green beans

Don ordered Gus' pizza ~ Pepperoni Pizza with 2 orders of potato wedges

Garlic Infused Pork Roast with Gravy, German Fried Potatoes and Peas. Mini Chocolate Cupcakes for dessert.

*LOL* I don't know how I forgot about Strombolli ~ my kids would eat Strombolli before a Calzone (must be the name and the fact that was the only good lunch got at school)

When Don got home from the Koshkonong Ice Fishing Derby, I made cheese tortellini with meat sauce and garlic toast

lol Depends on where we are...Meat roll, Calzone, Stromboli, etc.!

Tonight we had grilled steaks, Chicken, Rice, Steamed Veggies and Salads. Lemon Meringue Pie for Dessert.

Gina ~ when I worked at the Lutherdale Bible Camp Kitchen, we called what you made "Calzones".  We would add pizza/spagetti sauce or BBQ sauce, Ranch Dressing or whatever for a little moisture, the sauce would depend on what we made.  I love those


Don went to the Koshkonong Ice Fishing Derby on Friday with our neighbor,sometime in the afternoon after I went to sleep, so before I went to sleep I made us a frozen Banquet Salisbury Steak and Gravy pan and baked potatoes.  I made 4 Deluxe Cotto Salami Sandwiches for him to take along with a sleeve of mint Girl Scout Cookies, a 1# roll of pork sausage for them to make for their breakfast, and a 2 liter bottle of Coke.

Used Pizza Dough and made meat rolls. Ours had ham, bacon, cheese, sauce, sausage and onions. My son had to be different and had his with pepperoni, sausage, onions and ham. Also made fries and onion rings. Sugar cookies for dessert.

J and I cooked together. We had baked potatoes, salads, small fillets and crab legs. Assorted Chocolates for dessert.

Yesterday I made Tilapia, a small piece of Salmon, and a shrimp skewer.  Don got ticked off because he thought I said fish on friday, I have no idea what he ate ~ Today I made hamburgers and tator tots after we got home from the veal farm so Don could eat before he went to Janesville.  There is a burger and tator tots left over for him to heat up when he gets hungry when he gets back.  I am taking left over fish to work tonite ~ I am trying to clear out my freezer.

Tonight I tried something new. I loved it but my guys hated it. I made Angel Hair Pasta, Shrimp, Diced Tomatoes, Asparagus, and a butter Sauce. Also baked some bread sticks and made a big salad to share. Mini Chocolate Cupcakes for Dessert. I thought it was yummy!

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!  I love fried Green Tomatoes but we can only get them in season and if we grow them ourself.


Another non stop day so I made Shredded Chicken soft shell tacos with the trimmings

Applewood Bacon, Lettuce and Fried Green Tomato Sandwiches with Mayo on Texas Toast with Fries. Mini Cupcakes for dessert. (The sandwiches were SO good.)
