Grandma Maude's Dill Pickles (GmF2)

Granda Maude's Dill Pickles

(Do Not Double Recipe)

3/4 Cup  Canning Salt (do not use iodized table salt)

1 Wt. Vinegar (5% acidity)

2 Qt Water

2 TBS Dill Seed to each Quart Jar

1/8 tsp Alum to each Quart Jar

Bring to bil and pour over pickles (cucumbers).  1/4 tsp mixed spices may be added if desired or 1 tsp mustard seed may be added to each quart.  Can also add peeled garlic cloves to each jar.
