Slow Cooker Pork Chops for 2 with Fresh Pineapple Chunks
Ingredients:
2 Thick Cut Pork Chops, bone in (about 1-1/2 to 2 lbs)
15 chunks Fresh Pineapple (or you can use one can of pineapple chunks, save the juice for cooking)
Italian seasoning (to taste)
Black Pepper (to taste)
Garlic Powder (to taste)
Onion Powder (to taste)
1 cup water or broth (I used beef broth because I still had some in the box, in my fridge)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Directions:
Season both sides of the pork chops and let rest for 5-10 minutes (this will let the seasonings work into the meat to help tenderize) or if you don't want to wait, use a tenderizing meat mallot on both sides.
Place the water or broth in the slow cooker and add the pork chops. Top with the pineapple chunks (if using canned pineapple chunks, you can use the juice from that instead)
Cook on High for 3-4 hours or low for 4-5 hours. Be sure the meat temps out at least to 165F
