My mother was the same way ~ God forbid anyone who drank the last of the milk and there wasn't any in fridge when mom was hung over ~  Me on the other hand, I would never eat until everyone else was done eatting, including the kids friends.  I also won't eat unless everyone is eatting.

My mother never did that but my grandmother did! Just goes to show you who raised us better. My mother would have said, "You don't need that pie. You don't want to get fat." And she would have eaten it...
