Have you ever been on a summer road trip? Where did you go?

Many. Started when I was young and my mom and my step-dad would drive us up to Lake Tomahawk every summer. No TV and barely radio. But the place was magic.

We use to go to Little Horsehead Lake, between Tomahawk & Rhinelander, to our cabin. We had to use an outhouse (but not allowed to go out at night because of bears), No TV or Radio but there was an old Victrola with only 1 record.  We had to walk halfway down the hill to pump water to cooking, drinking, and dishes,  Loved it.  Grandma & Grandpa Mayer would take us up there more than mom did until Grandma got sick.  It was sold after Grandma passed away in 1976.
