Freezing Sweet Corn

Freezing Sweet Corn
I have been doing this for years ~
I peel and shuck the corn. Meanwhile I heat up a huge pot of water to boiling. Once I have enough ears for a pot of boiling water (or whatever I put in if not a full pot). Bring water back to boil and boil 5 minutes. Immediately remove from pot and put in a sink of ice water to cool down.
You can freeze them on the cob or cut the corn off the cob. Put into zip loc bags and add a small amount of sprite to each bag to help maintain sweetness. Close bag but before the last little close, suck the air out of the bag and zip it up. Less air will prevent or delay freezer burn
