The Pancake Day of the Christian tradition is not the same as "IHOP Free Pancake Day" (formerly known as "National Pancake Day"), a commercial event created by IHOP ("International House of Pancakes"), an American chain of pancake restaurants. On this day, free pancakes are offered to customers in exchange for a donation to charity. The next IHOP Free Pancake Day will be held on February 25, 2020.

This year the date of IHOP's free pancake day, called IHOP National Pancake Day, has not been released yet. It was on Tuesday, February 25th in 2020, March 12th in 2019, and February 27th in 2018._________________
