Piggly Wiggly Traditional Pasta Recipe!
Ingredients:
7 oz corkscrew macaroni+ Add to Shopping List |
1 1/2 cups cubed Swiss+ Add to Shopping List |
6 oz sliced salami, cut into strips+ Add to Shopping List |
1 cup cauliflower flowerets, thinly sliced+ Add to Shopping List |
(optional)+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 cup chopped tomato+ Add to Shopping List |
1 onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 cup sliced pitted ripe olives+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 cup snipped parsley+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 cup olive oil+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 cup wine vinegar+ Add to Shopping List |
2 cloves garlic, minced+ Add to Shopping List |
2 teaspoons dried basil, crushed+ Add to Shopping List |
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta. Rinse with cold water; drain again.For salad, in a bowl toss together pasta, cubed cheese, salami, cauliflower, onion rings, olives, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
For dressing, in a screw-top jar combine oil, vinegar, garlic, basil, oregano, and black pepper. Cover and shake well. Pour over salad. Toss to coat. Cover; chill 4 to 24 hours. To serve, add tomatoes; toss gently.
